Admission to Under Graduate Courses in State Agricultural Universities

Applications are invited for the following 4 years degree courses for the academic session 2008 – 09 in constituent /affiliated colleges of Maharashtra:

1. B.Sc.(Agriculture)
2. B.Sc.(Horticulture)
3. B.Sc.(Forestry)
4. B.F.Sc.(Fisheries)
5. B.Tech.(Food Technology )
6. B.Sc.(Agriculture Bio-Technology)
7. B.Tech.(Agriculture Engineering)
8. B.Sc.(Hons.)(Home Science)
9. B.B.M. (Agriculture)

Eligibility

For Sl. No. 1 to 6

XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English. Those who have not offered Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective University.

For B.Tech.(Agriculture Engineering)

XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

For B.Sc. (Hons.)(Home Science)

XII Std. passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination in Arts / Science / Commerce with English. (Admission is open for Male Female candidates)

For B.B.M. (Agriculture)

XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English. Candidates who have not offered Biology or Mathematics, shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

Application forms and prospectus shall be made available w.e.f. 20th May, 2008 on www.mkcl.ws/agri or at any of the 485 Authorised Training Centres (ATC) of Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd. listed therein.

The candidates seeking admissions for any of the above courses for the year 2008-09 may obtain the prospectus and follow the instructions listed below.

(i) Submit the application form with attested copies of relevant documents at ATC of MKCL along with required fees.

(ii) Other State candidates shall submit Online application form at www.mkcl.ws/agri and submit its downloaded copy along with attested copies of relevant documents duly accompanied with required fees in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of `MKCL, Pune` payable at Pune, which shall be sent to “MKCL, Post Box No. 3, Pune-411 016.

Wards of displaced citizens and Wards of Officers/ Staff of Military and Para-military Forces of All India services posted to combat terrorists activities in Jammu and Kashmir State should submit their applications online and a downloaded copy of the same with attested xerox copies of the certificates to the Chief Secretary, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu on or before 10th July, 2008. Government of Jammu and Kashmir will arrange to verify the Migration Displacement Certificate of the candidates and only valid applications will be forwarded by the State Government of Jammu and Kashmir to the `MKCL, Post Box No. 3, Pune-411 016` on or before 2nd August, 2008.
