Course Format
The taught component of the course will be organised as a series of collaborative
online seminars. Prior to each session students will be given a few short papers or
book extracts to read and review. During the seminars they will be able to discuss
these with tutors and fellow students. Assessment will be based on the quality of
student contributions to the group discussions.
Candidates should normally possess a Masters degree in
Business Administration or a related area. Candidates with
a Masters degree in a different area may be admitted if
they have extensive management experience. Candidates
whose native language is not English must speak English
well enough to follow the courses efficiently and write their
thesis in English. The normal requirement is a minimum
IELTS score of 6.5.
Attendance Mode
The DBA will be offered on site at our London premises, but
it will also be offered via distance learning using our
state-of-the-art Virtual Learning Environment, allowing
students who do not want to spend time in the UK to do
the course in their home country. It will be exactly the
same as the taught course in London and will be presented
by the same lecturers. Students undertaking the online
course are not eligible for a UK visa.
Costs
Attending the course on site costs 7500 pounds per year for
three years although students can submit their thesis any
time after completing the second year. The distance
learning course costs 5200 pounds per year.

a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme. Like
our BBA and MBA programmes, this qualification is
validated and awarded by the École Supérieure de Gestion
(ESG), part of the Paris Graduate School of Management.

The DBA is a Professional Doctorate programme which
offers students the opportunity to study a comprehensive
postgraduate curriculum in Business Administration,
specialising in Entrepreneurship and Branding. The DBA is
an ideal preparation for those who wish to launch and run
their own business or take up advanced leadership positions
in business, government or the public or private sector.
The course is taught over a three year period. The first year
consists of six intensive taught courses in various aspects
of Entrepreneurship and Branding. The second year
commences with courses in Research Methodologies and
Writing a Thesis and the remainder of the year is devoted
to carrying out research and producing a thesis, under the
guidance of one of our Doctoral Supervisors. The thesis can
be submitted any time after the completion of the second

students to create new companies with innovative ideas. It teaches students not to
depend on current businesses models, products and strategies, but to take a risk in the

EMBA with Human Resource Management
This specialisation aims to provide core skills in Human Resource Management along with
an awareness of current HRM issues in complex organisations. The course focuses on
developing the competencies which have been identified by the hiring community as
essential for employment success. Subjects include: The Recruitment Process, Managing
Organisational Development and Change, Legal Issues in HRM, Training and
Development, Labour Relations and Collective Bargaining, Compensation Management,

EMBA with Tourism & Hospitality
