Akruti City Foundation For Knowledge And Research ACF

Akruti City Foundation (ACF) is an independent, autonomous, nongovernment, not-for-profit educational Foundation. It is promoted by the Akruti Group who are a leading real estate and infrastructure development ‘listed’ company. ACF is a registered public charity, incorporated at Mumbai, India, in July 2006 as a ‘Trust’ and a ‘Society’.

ACF is about creating and dissemination knowledge, contributing to the prosperity of the nation, quality of life of its people, and the making of a ‘just Society’.

ACF’s scope of its work includes higher and technical education, applied and contract research, skill building and vocational training, recognizing merit and supporting meritorious needy. Technology, entrepreneurship and management; human resource development, skill formation and upgradation; income generation, poverty alleviation, socio-economic situation of women, children and other weaker sections of society, environment, ecology and climate, involuntary dislocation - are amongst the major interest areas of ACF which it seeks to serve through education, research, training and other development programs. It pays a special attention to the latest of information technology, organization systems, productivity, skills, quality standards and delivery systems.

ACF will remain in the main frame of education in India and also develop partnerships with reputed and like minded universities/ institutions world-wide.

Activities of the Trust are organized into four major projects that are at various stages of implementation. First is the Panvel project (proposed Deemed University); second is Ahmedabad project (proposed university); third is ACTIVE project (skill development) and fourth is “Research & Data Centre”. Each project has its own CEO, professional support organization and personnel.

A Board of Trustees is the apex body of ACF. A Managing Committee guides and overseers its functioning. The Director General is the Chief Executive of ACF. Each university or organization created by ACF shall have its own Vice-Chancellor/President and other set up as per mandatory requirements of the regulatory bodies.
